Jelina of Caranelo

Mystical watercolor forest with a pond

Hello, dear traveler. My name is Jelina, and I’m grateful you’ve come to hear my story. For so long, the world has only seen the shimmer of my magic and not the heart behind it. My path has been one of light and shadow, loss and renewal — but each turn has taught me something precious. I hope, as you listen to my journey, you’ll see not the frost that clings to me now, but the warmth that still lives beneath it.

Jelina portrait frame, ethereal and mysterious

I began my journey as a young girl with golden, wavy locks and a kind heart. I spent every day with my dearest friend, living a simple and joyful life until I discovered my gift of healing. My gentle touch could mend the wounds of animals harmed by the villagers, and soon my talent was known beyond our home. With the support of the one I loved, I trained to refine my powers — until tragedy struck. On a journey to heal a queen, I received word that my best friend had been fatally wounded. Grief consumed me, and in that sorrow, my golden hair turned black and straight, and my magic grew cold — freezing instead of healing. Yet even through the frost, my heart remained kind, though few could see it. While wandering the forest one night, I fell into a hidden hollow — and when I awoke, I found myself in a world unlike any I’d ever known: the 21st century. Here, I’m discovering new wonders — lights that glow without fire, music that dances through small boxes, and people who move faster than magic itself. Most miraculously, I found my best friend again… though now, his name is John. I’ve begun attending high school, where each day feels like a spell waiting to be cast.

Life here is different, but I’ve found so much joy in the little things — painting under the soft hum of electric lights, learning how to blend my old magic with modern art, and spending each evening laughing with John as we discover this new world together.

And John showed me some cool light sources that is fun to look at:
